Starting this Monday, a new subject—Civics—will be introduced in Polish schools!
And what does this mean?
It’s a step toward a more informed and active society. This new curriculum will help young people not only better understand their rights and responsibilities, but also develop skills in critical thinking, collaboration, and active participation in community life.
Why is civic education so important?
In schools, we shape future citizens who will consciously participate in democracy. Therefore, the measures taken by the Ministry of National Education, led by Barbara Nowacka, will foster a more engaged and responsible society.
The OliEdu Civic Education Foundation welcomes these changes and believes that civic education is an investment in a better, stronger Poland. Together, we can create a space where young people can talk, debate, and develop their civic competencies.
