Training

The OliEdu Foundation runs a series of pro bono training sessions and workshops, both online and in-person, that have tremendous potential to shape the attitudes of young people. These projects help them develop empathy, communication skills, and awareness of how to prevent violence, which contributes to their safety and well-being. After all, investing in social and emotional education is an investment in a better, more tolerant, and safer future for all of us.

Examples of training sessions and practical workshops include topics such as:

1. Empathy and communication—the key to better understanding oneself and others.

Empathy and the ability to communicate effectively are the foundation of healthy interpersonal relationships. These workshops teach young people how to recognize and understand their own emotions and those of others, which is invaluable in preventing conflicts and violence. As a result, young people learn to listen, express their needs constructively, and resolve disputes without aggression. The result is not only a better atmosphere in the classroom, during project work, or in volunteer activities, but also the development of skills that will be useful at every stage of life—from school relationships to future careers.

2. Training on preventing violence in the school environment.

Violence among young people is, unfortunately, a serious problem that requires effective preventive measures. The OliEdu Foundation conducts training sessions that teach students and teachers how to recognize the signs of violence and how to respond to it. This knowledge helps create a safer school environment where young people feel accepted and respected. These training sessions emphasize building a culture of respect, resolving conflicts without violence, and promoting empathy—all of which are crucial for preventing more serious problems, such as peer violence and cyberbullying.

3. Effective Communication as a Tool for Supporting Team Roles

We see that the modern world places an increasing emphasis on teamwork and collaboration. By learning effective communication, young people gain the tools to function better in a group—both at school and in their future careers. This training teaches them how to clearly express their thoughts, listen to others, and build relationships based on trust. All of this translates into better group dynamics, conflict resolution, and achieving goals together. For young people, this is not just a skill but also a source of self-confidence that helps them function effectively in various social roles.

At the OliEdi Foundation, we know full well that in today’s world, education is more than just learning facts and academic skills. It also involves developing social, emotional, and interpersonal competencies that help young people cope with everyday life, both in and out of school.

Specialized training sessions and workshops that support children, adolescents, and students in building positive relationships, preventing violence, and developing empathy and communication skills are led by:

  • Ewa Daros - President of the OliEdu Foundation, who is not only an educator but also a Trainer/Assessor with education and training experience gained both in Poland and in the United Kingdom, for example, while conducting NVQ training for Cambridge Regional College in Cambridge, UK. Her education also includes postgraduate studies in e-marketing, focusing on online activities and social media. Ewa Daros has been involved in such initiatives for years, offering programs that have a real impact on the lives of young people and students.

The most recent workshop took place on September 13 in Warsaw for members of the European Youth Parliament. Feedback on the workshop is provided below.

“During an internal training session for members of our association, we were delighted to continue our collaboration with the OliEdu Foundation through a workshop on the role of communication within a team, led by the Foundation’s President, Ewa Daros.
In particular, we would like to highlight the professional approach to the topic and the presentation of the content in a way tailored to the participants’ needs. During the interactive workshops, participants had the opportunity to practice, for example, FUKO messages, paraphrasing, and “I-messages.”
We are very satisfied with how the workshop went and with our collaboration with the OliEdu Foundation so far.”
