As part of the OliEdu Foundation’s #fioletowelove campaign for premature babies, we encourage you to celebrate “Purple November”!
This is a particularly busy month for showing solidarity and organizing fundraisers for premature babies—we remember them not only on November 17. Every social or educational activity, as well as every donation from a fundraiser, makes a huge difference to the lives of premature babies.
As part of last year’s #fioletowelove campaign for premature babies, we were able to support 17 hospitals with neonatal units throughout Poland!
The most popular purchase chosen by the hospitals was kangaroo care chairs, which allow for comfortable moments of closeness between a parent or caregiver and their infant, as well as health-promoting “skin-to-skin” contact and greater comfort. Hospitals also opted to purchase, among other items, pulse oximeters, a bilirubin meter (useful for assessing the risk of neonatal jaundice), vein-finding scanners, stethoscopes, swaddles, mattresses, pillows, as well as creating a dedicated space for parents to rest with their babies.
