There’s something special about Kraków in the winter, and exploring it together is an investment in your health, relationships, and balance.
After the #fioletowelove gala, we went on a guided walk—and it quickly became clear that it was much more than just a sightseeing tour. It was an experience that perfectly illustrates how important getting out together is as part of taking care of our health:
- physical,
- mental,
- and social.
Actively exploring the city, its history, hidden corners, and stories is a perfect example of the initiatives launched by the OliEdu Foundation, which bring people together around culture and heritage. Outdoor activity supports physical fitness, oxygenates the body, and boosts energy, but its impact on our well-being is equally important. A walk, a conversation, and being “here and now” help, among other things, to:
- take a break from the daily rush,
- reduce tension,
- and regain inner balance.
For the OliEdu Foundation, such initiatives are particularly valuable. Outings together provide an opportunity to, for example:
- build relationships,
- strengthen social bonds,
- and foster a sense of belonging.
Conversations, laughter, and sharing experiences—all of this has a real impact on our mental health. Interaction with other people, as well as with nature and the urban environment, provides us with the necessary balance between activity and rest.
Exploring culture through movement brings history to life and makes it more accessible. It is not just a collection of facts, but an experience we share together. Moments like these inspire, strengthen, and remind us that taking care of ourselves isn’t just about individual actions, but also about being together, experiencing, and discovering the world step by step—even in winter weather.
It is precisely in moments like these that we can most clearly see how education, integration, and health can go hand in hand.
The walk was led by licensed guide Emil Bajorek, “Krakonik.”
