Today in the Polish Sejm, there’s a campaign you won’t want to miss. After all, it’s only one person who can donate their blood to another.
Blood is a priceless gift; as long as there are no medical contraindications, let’s share it, because we never know when we ourselves might need a donor.
And on June 14, we celebrate World Blood Donor Day.
- Blood is needed by hospital patients—for example, in emergencies when someone is in an accident, or on a regular basis in oncology or neonatal wards, where newborns receive blood transfusions to save their health and lives (sometimes even multiple times…)
We are immensely grateful to DKMS for its work in this area, as well as to Monika Wielichowska, Deputy Speaker of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, for her support.
