Does social pressure make sense?
Absolutely!

Last week, the Ministry of Health announced changes to the government’s in vitro fertilization funding program, which took effect on June 1, such as:

  • eligible couples will be able to undergo preimplantation genetic testing on a commercial basis (this means that patients will still have to pay for the testing themselves, but at least receiving financial support from the program no longer precludes this option...);
  • Patients will be able to use their own eggs frozen before June 1 (it would be a huge loss if they had to undergo the entire treatment from the beginning, given that they already have embryos that were tested and frozen from a previous procedure);
  • patients eligible for the program will be entitled to reimbursement for stimulation medications (the age criteria set by the program for patients and the requirement to have insurance still apply);
  • The transfer of embryos created before the program took effect will not count as a cycle, and couples will still be entitled to six rounds of personalized assisted reproductive technology.

As the OliEdu Foundation, we advocated for many changes to the program during the conference we organized in Kraków on June 4 of this year. Little by little, we’re making progress, and every piece of positive news brings joy.

We would like to thank all the incredibly dedicated speakers and guests for their substantive expressions of support and their vital presence at the social and medical conference titled “In Vitro Is US,” including:
