The educational and medical conference we co-organized at the Sejm of the Republic of Poland in Warsaw brought together the medical and social communities to jointly support the cause of in vitro fertilization.
The conference was held under the honorary patronage of:
- Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Monika Wielichowska
- Minister of Health Izabela Leszczyna
We were also honored by the presence and remarks of:
- Deputy Minister of Family, Labor, and Social Policy Aleksandra Gajewska
- Małgorzata Rozenek-Majdan, who supports the citizens’ bill “Yes to IVF.”
In recent years, ever since funding for in vitro was cut in 2016, some couples have had to sell their own homes in order to realize their dreams of a complete, healthy, and happy family.
However, on June 1, much will change for the better when the long-awaited government support takes effect. Children will finally be able to be born happily thanks to medical support. Why happily?
- Happily, because they will be free from the incurable, painful diseases that fate and nature—in ways we cannot understand—bestow upon some of us.
- Happily, because it brings immense joy to parents who need more medical support and can benefit from scientific advances.
- Happily, because it gives hope and a chance to people who have undergone cancer treatment, allowing them to still become parents.
It is now extremely important to give patients the confidence that it is possible—and worthwhile—to fight for themselves and for their family’s happiness... This is what we will continue to strive for as a health-promoting and patient-centered foundation!
