We’ve had many wonderful conversations during the conference as part of #fioletowelove💜 “A Small Child—A Big Deal.”
We gathered in the beautiful Silesian Parliament Hall in Katowice and, together with experts in neonatology, gynecology, pedagogy, and education, discussed the challenges faced by premature babies and their families.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity yesterday to discuss the need for initiatives for premature babies with experts in the fields of neonatology, gynecology, pedagogy, and education.
Special thanks to:
- Dr. Katarzyna Olszak-Wąsik, gynecologist, midwife, and geneticist at the Nikiszowiec Medical Center in Katowice, the Antrum Medical Center in Bytom, and TFP Macierzyństwo in Kraków
- Dr. Helena Sławska, neonatologist and pediatrician at the Neonatology and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Specialist Hospital No. 2 in Bytom
- Ewa Daros, educator and mother of a preterm baby, President of the OliEdu Foundation, initiator of the nationwide #fioletowelove campaign for preterm babies
- Anna Krzyżanowska, teacher–consultant, the “WOM” Regional Center for Teacher Training and Pedagogical Information in Rybnik
- Marcin Grzegorzyca, Director of the Silesian Province Center for Vocational and Continuing Education in Katowice
The first-aid workshops for children and infants, which combined theory with practice and taught participants how to respond in situations requiring quick action, attracted enormous interest. Congratulations to the Silesian Province Center for Vocational and Continuing Education in Katowice for organizing the demonstrations!
The extraordinary atmosphere of cooperation, empathy, and commitment proved that together we can truly support premature babies and their families. Conversations over coffee revealed just how many participants need such initiatives, with many describing the #fioletowelove initiative for premature babies as extremely valuable, teaching empathy, solidarity, and how to help others.
We thank all participants for their presence, openness, and the emotions that accompanied us throughout the day. This conference will definitely remain in our memories for a long time…
