A packed room of nearly 100 people and media interest showed just how important issues related to mental health and preventing peer violence are!

We need more debates like this, more conferences, and more projects promoting positive relationships—starting from a very young age!

Comments like these were heard repeatedly today during an event organized for teachers, student representatives, and parents as part of “School Without Violence—Together for Health! Promoting Mental Health by Preventing Peer Violence.”

This initiative was co-financed from the state budget through funds from the Ministry of National Education as part of the National Health Program 2021–2025.

Thank you to the following for joining the event:

  • Gabriela Olszowska, Superintendent of Education for the Lesser Poland Region, from the Kraków Board of Education,
  • Maria Klaman, Deputy Mayor of Kraków,
  • Karina Pawłowska, Deputy Director of the Bytom Branch of the Katowice Board of Education,
  • Magdalena Mazur, Director of the Department of Education and Educational Projects,
  • Tomasz Kobylański, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Educational Projects,
  • the teachers, students, and parents who traveled here today from eight provinces,
  • the experts collaborating with the OliEdu Civic Education Foundation,
  • the volunteers,
  • and everyone who made this substantive event possible.

Thank you for being with us today. In-person meetings are the best—there were many opportunities to talk, share best practices, and listen to experts during the panel discussions, as well as time for a group lunch with live music and a guided tour of Kraków.
