We have completed a training session for volunteers, which is regularly conducted on a pro bono basis by Ewa Daros, the President of our Foundation.

During this time, we focused on an important topic—preventing violence in the school environment. We all know that this problem affects not only the victims, but also the perpetrators, witnesses, and the entire school community. For this reason, it is so important that we, as a community—parents, teachers, students, and volunteers—work together to create a safe, supportive environment in schools.

Education, dialogue, and preventive measures play a key role in combating peer violence. Young people learned how to recognize, stand up against, and prevent violence by developing empathy, assertiveness, and interpersonal communication skills.

What did the participants say about the workshops?

It is thanks to workshops like these that we learn to listen, express our emotions, and respond in difficult situations.

Participants also appreciated the following aspects of the training:

  • Building empathy, which is invaluable—it allows us to understand the pain and fear of others, and thus counteract violence.
  • Social media, while it can be a source of risks, also has enormous potential to spread positive content, mutual respect, and support.
  • Educational campaigns, inspiring stories, and examples of mutual support are invaluable today in reaching young people.

We thank all participants for their active involvement, sharing of experiences, and commitment! We believe that our joint efforts will contribute to building cultures where violence has no place.

The OliEdu Foundation for Civic Education actively supports such initiatives because caring for others is the foundation of a healthy and safe school community. Together, we can achieve more!

Let’s remember—education, dialogue, and cooperation are the keys to positive change. Together, we create a safe and supportive environment for young people.
